How I Lose Weight + Food Tips

Here’s the low-down on what I’m doing to lose weight and how it works.

1. Figure out what your “maintain weight” calories are and eat 500 calories LESS than that number every day.

2. Exercise for at least 30 minutes, 5x/week.

3. Drink water! Divide your weight in half and drink that number in ounces of water every day.

(4. Make healthier choices as you go along generic omnicef and get better at doing steps 1-3.)

FROM THE VIDEO:

The salad is:
1 Bowl of Romaine Lettuce and Spinach
2 Tbsp Light Vinaigrette Dressing
1/2 Tomato, sliced
1/4 Cucumber, peeled and sliced
1/4 Cup Garlic Feta Cheese
= around 110-130 calories :D

YUM!

Green Tea (and similar Asian teas), English Breakfast Tea and Irish Breakfast Tea need no sweetener if you use 1 Tsp of lemon juice instead (0 calories).

Vanilla chai (and decaf vanilla chai), peppermint tea and bangal spice teas all also need no sweeteners or additives of any kind.

    I grew up eating …
    I grew up eating that way until my parents divorced, and then my mom was half-hearted about it from there on out. It’s really the way to go, though, if you like it – preservatives of all kind are recognised by the body as fat and stored like that on the body.

    *sigh* At least WB said that they’re going to make the last book into 2 movies because there’s so much crucial info in the book they couldn’t get it all in one movie. I’d love if she’d write the MWPP era, like a prequel to the HP series.

    I eat all natural stuff, like soy and the “hippie” food and that works for me. I’m trying to get a stationary bike as well.

    On anoher note, I wish J.K. Rowling would write another HP book. I spent 10 years of my life on those ooks, now it’s over :/ Back to reality I guess.

    Exercising when you would normally just be sitting all the time is a great way to do it :D I’ve been doing the elliptical or biking while I read and it’s rather enjoyable :D

    I just finished book 5 – OOTP – and am going to start on 6 this evening. I can never get enough of the books, no matter how many times I’ve read them. I think I’m going to read the series out loud to my bf soon, which I think will be really fun. I love reading aloud and doing all the voices… ;)

    Eh, I’m not worried. While I appreciate you being a total downer – as it is your choice to be that way – I think I’ll be OK. Each person has a different relationship with food, and personally I’ve never had an obsessive/binge-like relationship with eating… I believe I’ll be fine. Thanks anyway.

    TOTALLY. Basketball …
    TOTALLY. Basketball burns on average 550 calories/hour… sometimes more, and sometimes less – depending on your intensity and activity level. But at any rate, anything you do to move your body and get your blood pumping is exercise. A half-hour, then, of basketball would be roughly 225 calories brunt, which is about how much I burn when I go bike-riding or running for 20 minutes.

    One thing i have …
    One thing i have realized that has helped me lose weight is Yogurt. Sometimes i replace a whole meal with yogurt instead or something smaller. Thats helped. Alot of people think that to lose weight you have to starve yourself. I thought that too until i started to do a bunch of other things. LIke when i was watching T.V instead of sitting down i would hop on the tread mill. That way i’m still watching T.V but getting exercise at the same time
    BTW. I re-read the HP series every summer too!! haha
