This sound pathetic on my part but what helps me is i will look at people from my high school that i graduated with through facebook or myspace and say I WILL NOT be that fat and over weight. I WILL NOT drink my liver to its grave. :) helps me haha good luck!

That is a common thing, I also had a lot of problems with weight loss motivation. The best thing to do is to try and visualize yourself already achieving your goal or start taking pictures of yourself daily or weekly, once you will be seeing the results yourself it might be easier.
There is a site with a free report you can download that describes just that in more detail http://www.trulyfatfree.com , it helped me anyway :)

What I did was I bought a NoteBook and each day I would right down what I ate/drank, what types of excersise I did – and for how long, how many steps I took (pedometer reading) etc… I would also weigh my self once a week and set Monthly Weight Loss Goals – and I’d countdown each weigh in to work harder the next week… I also gave myself something to be motivated about – like fitting into those old pair of jeans or just feeling fit & healthy… even just to make better food choices gave me motivation to keep up with my new ‘Healthy” self…. You can do it!!! Just believe in yourself and don’t expect to lose 50 lbs over night – Little Goals at first will help you to achieve the Big one before you know it!!! Good Luck and Work It!!!! ♥

workout often and eat healthy for the rest of your life so that your excess body weight that you initially lose never ever returns…that means NEVER go on a diet!just portion control and make healthier choices…eat on time but give yourself a teat or two every week or 2…rest well and drink enough water…you have to do cardio and toning exercises 5 or 6 days a week…music might help motivate cardio exercises …getting a trainer might help in the overall workout part but meditation can help in all your efforts…constantly visualize and then toil for optimum results…fat loss will take time,so be patient and confident…good luck

By getting into a regular pattern it makes the task of losing weight considerably easier.

By adding variety to your food and your exercise it will ensure that you don’t get bored as this is one of the main reasons that many people struggle to maintain their plan and achieve their goals.

If possible get others to join in with you when you are training as this can help to relieve any boredom and also inspire you to do more training and improve your performance.

Always try to associate with positive people and those who will help you to reach your goals and don’t accept any negative energy from others as this will only hinder your chances of success.

There is a great program at

As per diet you might wont to try The Mediterranean diet, which is not a specific diet plan or diet program but a collection of eating habits that are traditionally followed by the people of the Mediterranean region. At least 16 countries border the Mediterranean Sea.

Diets vary between these countries. But the common Mediterranean dietary pattern has these characteristics:

    * high consumption of fruits, vegetables, bread and other cereals, potatoes, beans, nuts and seeds
    * olive oil is an important monounsaturated fat source
    * dairy products, fish and poultry are consumed in low to moderate amounts, and little red meat is eaten
    * eggs are consumed zero to four times a week
    * wine is consumed in low to moderate amounts
