I am a black woman, and I am overweight for my height. I am trying to lose weight but it is just so hard for me. My doctor said that he could'nt even tell I weighed that much because of the way I am built. I am thick and my weight falls in all the right places, but I still need to lose some weight. So if anyone out there have tips on ways I can lose weight and stay healthy whil doing so, than please let me know.

I'm going to tell you how I lost about 45 lbs. I used diet pills, taken 2-3 times a day before meals, and ran 2 miles a day before bed after eating supper. I ate the best I could (healthy choice) or progressive soups in a can..and snacked between meals with healthy stuff when the pains hit hard!!!! Also started to drink diet pop instead of sugar pop, and cut down on beer drinking to about 6-8 beers per week and only on weekends. If you snack between meals during the day it tricks your body into burning fat all the time. Also if taken before meals the diet pills will help you feel more full so you don't get the pains as often. Oh yeah (avoid sugar and bad carbs at all cost). If you can maintain this schedule you should be good for about 40 lbs. in 90-120 days, especially if you are overweight like I was because the water weight will fall off, like 10-15 lbs. in the first 2-3 weeks.

I am wanting to lose quite a bit of weight by then because of an event which I wish to go to, but I need to lose weight to fit the costume.
So please, suggest good diet and physical plans =D Much appreciated.
obviously it depends on how much you need to lose. calculate caloric intake and calories burned. figure out a way so that you can be burning more than you intake. then, and heres the key, cardio! jump on that bike or treadmill. first, though, eat so that you are slightly less than the calories you generally burn, i.e, you would lose a pound or two over a year if you did no exercise. you will be satisfied.

Ok so im 16 and have just started college, but i feel kinda self conscious because of my weight, im not HUGE but i would like to lose maybe a stone. Can anyone give me any tips on the best and quickest ways to do this

The quickest and easiest ways are not the healthiest or the best. Are you looking for a quick 10 pounds or something more permanent? Most weight loss, if not due to change of habits, are temporary at best. From my experience, start a journal (just for a week or two) and note EVERYTHING you eat and drink. It's amazing how much we eat when you count snacks and meals and in-between-meals. Take a look at how much is healthy and how much is filler. Switching to diet drinks sometimes helps, and drinking lots of water helps you a lot too.
Coincidentally, strength training is actually one of the best Ways to lose weight. If you increase muscle mass, then there is more muscle there to burn energy (calories) and so your resting body will be burning more calories than if you were musclceless. Gaining muscle can be as simple as some pushups, or as complicated as you want.

I really want to lose weight in 1 or 2 weeks…any ideas?
Shedding weight isn't really "easy."
If you are serious about knocking off some pounds, you have to commit yourself to cardio (running) exercises daily. Perhaps take one day off. Run for 45 minutes each day.
You have to eat good, too. Cut down on the sodium, cholesterol, and saturated fats you eat (read the nutritional facts label on foods). I'd say aim for no more that 1600 cals daily, but no less than 1200. Take a multivitamin tablet when eating so few of calories to ensure you are getting all the vitamins and minerals your body needs.
